Hi all,
Got my EAD (the actual card ) and the AP today in the mail. Details are as follows:
EB2 India - Filed Sept 06
140 Approved by TSC in Apr 07
485/EAD/AP Filed on July 2nd at NSC (R Williams 9 :02 am)
LUD on 140 - 08/05
Recd EAD and AP - 09/06
Have not received 485 receipt or FP notice. EAD and AP are from CSC - I recide in CA.
Good luck to all those still waiting !

I heard in yesterday radio talk show (with PA congressman) that a new group formed by house representatives (congressmen) called "representatives for legal immigration" (exact name not known because they said they are constructing a new website too), looks like, they oppose the illegal and support legal immigration. nt sure whether they will be of any help atleast during STRIVE bill debate to bring some relief to EB.

But in USCIS Retrogression calendar terms, I might be millions of miles away from your priority date...:mad::(:confused:

when american's from such third rate schools are not getting jobs, do you seriously think foreigners with their funny accents and relatively poor English communication skills (I'm Indian and can tell you its still a second language to me) can get jobs??
The market has a way of regulating itself. As someone mentioned above, there were a a lot of H1 space available from 2001-03. But it never got filled because there were simply not enough jobs. Lets not try to set up govenment intervention here....let the free market decide....that is what made this country great.
btw, NumbersuSA, FAIR and other restrictionist organizations have zero credibility because they oppose even legal immigration.

What about people who were stuck for years in backlog and then got laid off and could not port their priority dates. I know a few who come came to US in 99 and now have a priority date of 2007 with a new employer....It should clearly be based on number of years of stay in US or expereince

Since now as per USCIS notice of receipt status as of Sep 7, TSC is also finished with July 2 filings. All filings of July 2, no matter where you filed, should have been receipted. Allowing a few days for mail, all July 2 filers should have their receipts in their hands. NSC is way ahead of course.

Which is exactly I have been saying, unless we do something EB3 India could be waiting for a decade or 2...
But on the other hand if I want to address this issue in a manner which could see least resistance, you tells me I'm living in 'Utopia', administrator threatens to 'Ban' me ????

There are still lots of cases in eb3 from back that far.
Many of the eb3 245i cases; there dependents were outside USA. Once; they got greencards; then their dependents went for consular processing or are going for consular processing.
One of the cases I worked on ability to pay; person had adopted her nephew so that he could get greencard as dependent. You couldn't even begin to imagine how many cases like this there are.

A note to my fellow IV members - I am not after the $42/Hr job. Good luck in finding a US citizen to do this job. I was wrong about EEO, it is actually IRCA which prohibits discrimination in recruitment and hiring.

But the point remains - visa status based discrimination is illegal not matter which law is being violated, and must be highlighted. We have to correct the misinformation spread by anti-immigrant groups that most jobs are "reserved for H1Bs", while the reality is different. Most jobs are "reserved" for American workers (although such reservation is illegal under IRCA). We have to provide the proof that the myth of "thousands of jobs reserved for foreign workers" in nothing but a myth. My posting is a small step in that direction.
Here is another one in the continuing series of exposing the highly prevalent illegal hiring practice. I request everyone to start posting similar job-ads you get from recruiters. Once we get a hundred or more ads here, we can start E-mailing the links to the media.

Problem with that argument once you own more than 5% of the company you will have file as investor. If your wife owns the company then you will have file under relative category. There were denials based on this.
