My sincere apologies for being harsh on IV members, I sincerely appreciate the efforts.
I guess Oct bulletin (EB3 - I) got me going there...
I realize it's not fair to criticize when I am just sitting on the sidelines and not contributing to the cause.

Nma check is history now. After filed I-485, and 180 days passed, name check is not a factor for GC. If your NC is pending, still they issue you a GC.

Yes, it would "improve" Name Check with coparision to what we have observed so far. But it still have following loop holes and flaws.

from 485 receipt date. Nobody knows when USCIS will initiate FBI Name
Check. So I see a big playground for USCIS to play if it decides to play.

Do we have a way to know or keep an eye on USCIS about this? At least I
do not know and if somebody has the information please share it.
(2) "If 485 Otherwise is processable" then USCIS can go ahead without
waiting for NC check... What if USCIS decides to keep 100000 cases on
rack eating dust just by not moving the processing date for particular
service center? This you can see right now.. USCIS is making Texas slow
day by day not moving processing date. I remember Texas was ahead
with comparison to Nebraska around May to August 2007. If this happens your case is no more "processable".. Yes you can say that you are not stuck in NC queue but you will be stuck. USCIS may come up with altogether different startegy... To align processing times with FBI processing and FBI NC initiation. That may screw the things further.

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!...

Did you directly sent to TSC or NSC forwarded it to TSC

I've been coping with GC related stress by meditating as much as I can. Meditation releases endorphines which helps you calm down and have a clutter free mind. I know it is easier said than done, but it works. I also take meditative walks on weekends. We have trails near our house which take me to deep wooded area away from traffic and everything. I walk about 4-5 miles on weekends. Lately not walking due to cold. I also listen to Deepak Chopra, Joel Osteen, Wayne Dyer on Youtube. Hope this helps.

I am happy to see some beginings here.. although we have had many many threads before for this kind of initiative but I see some difference here... Like some others said we need to draft an action plan from A to Z here (understood that it may not be exactly what we would be following over time but), we need some roadmap to follow to reach our target.
I like the idea of collecting info about who is willing to contribute and I am all for it.
btw, option 1 is not an option for me.

People spending time on this thread, why not spend 5 minutes to print and sign a letter, then spend 82c and mail one copy each to USCIS and IV.
Do you not like the idea of 3 year long EAD's and more job portability which will come from a revised definition of "same or similar" job description??

Adding dependents/derivative is based on primary�s PD and app status.
Challenge me with a scenario that will have an issue. If someone doesn�t have H4 they will be affected anyways. They will not have additional impact due to this.
Please read INA, I485 application and current VB.
I personally believe none will be affected and left too behind (yes, they will be delayed a bit, they will have AP/EAD to hold on to).
(1) I am on H1b and wife on H4 . I have PD of Jan 2008. Now In july 2009 VB shows Eb2 india with PD of Mar 2008 and F2A with Jan 2005. I will be able to file for 485 will my wife can file 485 ?
(2) If she cannot file and what if my company insist me to be on EAD and resufe to extend my H1b. What will be status of my wife.. ( Assuming she didnot file AOS while I did ).
(3) What will be her category or status if I am lucky and get GC in 2 months since my date become current ?

I posted to topic "My concern- Skill in 2009"...then came proud american..derailed us off track and then we forgot our route....now back to the route....what action are we talking to intorduce this Eb interm relief Bill in senate in Jan..I think we need an input from Core members about how to proceed here..
Each of us write to all out state senators and also important once like Nance pelosi, Mccain..so on...about providing some non-contraversial releif...we need to mention those and send LEGIBLE HAND WRITTEN LETTERS without spelling mistakes and send it fedex.....Send it during Chirstmas ...dot forget to mention God Bless America...just explain in simple words that we have been waiting for some relief from 2001 and have not seen any...please consider passing these non-contraversial issuses....I think they are reasonable and would agree....also mention that we have been dodged like a football saying skill/CIR and so on....
Better yet a skillfull person writing this and all of us using this...

No worries sathweb.. We all are in the same situation and at times things happen. Our mission is one: GC or no GC, we also deserve peace of mind. GC is just a means, not the final destination. :)

Applications were sent to NSC on July 19th' 2007. I got my receipt numbers today and all three numbers (I485, EAD & AP) start with WAC ### ### ####. The online status for the applications say that the 485 application was transfered to Texas Service Center and the EAD & AP applications were sent to Califorina Service Center.
Also just fyi, my I-140 app. is pending at NSC since Dec' 2006. So now I am all over the country :-) Don't know its good or bad. Any idea anyone?

There were times when people with certain disease were discriminated against.

I called IO today, still no information in system about my I-485 application that I filed June 28. What is funny is they can find my H1 extension that I filed on July 22 ??!!
I asked if my case will be transfered to Texas as my I-140 is approved from Texas, answer: Yes it will transferred to Texas IF they need to. So it is not a must. we will see..
